SCA Education Committee

The Society of California Archivists (SCA) Education Committee promotes archival education and the professional development of archivists throughout the state. The EdCom develops and presents archival education workshops for the SCA membership and colleagues on a variety of topics of concern to the profession. They  are held each fall, in both northern and southern California. In the spring, the EdCom works with the Program Committee of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to plan the pre-conference workshop as well as holding another workshop in the region opposite to the AGM.

Membership on the EdCom is open to any member of SCA. We do much of our business by e-mail so that our far-flung members can work together more easily though we have small gatherings when preparing for and attending the workshops. We have one face-to-face meeting during the AGM, often the one time that Southern and Northern committee members see each other. If you are interested in helping please contact:
