        Getting There:

The Bancroft Library is located near the center of the University of California, Berkeley campus, just to the west of the Sather Tower (Campanile). If you’d like to see a campus map, try: http://www.berkeley.edu/map/maps/large_map.html

Due to limited parking availability, the university recommends that you use public transportation when possible.  The Downtown Berkeley BART stop is 1½ blocks west of campus, and there are also quite a few ways to get to campus via bus.  For more information, see: http://www.berkeley.edu/visitors/public_transit.html

If you are driving to Berkeley, you will need to park off-campus on the street or in one of the available public lots.  For driving directions to the university, and a list of parking lots, see: http://bancroft.berkeley.edu/info/directions.html

If you do not have web access and need some of the information described above, please call UC Berkeley’s Visitor Services at (510) 642-5215.
