        Audio Preservation:
Moving the Sounds of the Past into the Future

        Program
Many archives have legacy recordings in many varied formats, discs, and tape.  Some analog equipment is already extinct and some carriers are reaching critical levels of degradation, challenging collection managers to transfer information as quickly as possible to an alternative medium. This workshop will feature archival and engineering experts presenting up-to-date information on preservation, restoration, and intellectual property issues involved in managing audio archives.
